IT’S TIME TO GET BACK TO WORK

Yes, that’s right. September is here and summer is almost well and truly behind us…. September for me always feels like a page turning moment in the year, despite no longer going “back to school”. I have started to make it a habit of doing as the Europeans do and taking a break from work for a few weeks in August to recharge and replenish my creative juices. It’s so, so important to give yourself a deserved break, something I think a lot of people working in the social media industry don’t allow themselves purely because there never really seems an opportunity to switch off. I personally don’t know how it’s possible to keep generating content and just creating – all of my inspiration and passion had dried up entirely before I went away. I needed to be by the sea, enjoying time away from my phone and without an agenda or schedule to follow. I didn’t used to let myself have time off but I’ve learnt how important it is. I find myself often with a mind full of thoughts and have learnt that it leaves you fresh and ready to get back into things for the next two busy seasons of the year.

We all know that once the ball starts rolling towards Christmas it’s hard to stop and take a breather, in between all the autumn leaves and mulled wine… Along with wedding planning and photography work, there are a number of exciting things I’ve got lined up in the next few months that I would love to share with you!

VICTORIA’S STORIES: PRINT SHOP

My photo prints from Cinqueterre will be added to the print shop later this month! As most of you know, I launched my travel photo print shop earlier this year. From beautiful Burano to pretty Paris, you can buy the most colourful prints to brighten up your walls. Later this month new additions will be joining my collection, more will follow as we come closer to Christmas, but the first print additions will be one of my favourite destinations: Cinqueterre. I visited this destination earlier in the year and you can read my mini Cinqueterre guide right here. I can’t wait to share all my print snaps with you!

I also have some exciting news for my US followers: My prints will be available for order in the U.S. at a normal postage price! Right now my prints are shipped from the UK but from later this month there will be an option for them to be shipped from the U.S. keeping the delivery costs a lot lower for my U.S. customers! Watch this space for updates and if you would like to sign up to my mailing list, kindly drop me an email right here and we will add you to the list.

MY WEDDING UPDATE

We are getting closer to finalising our wedding venue which I’m so thrilled about! It wasn’t easy to find time to go wedding venue hunting since our ceremony will be abroad and we had so many trips we had to get through for work, but in July we finally made time for a whirlwind visit to see some beautiful venues. I’m heading off to visit our favourite venue with my mum next week which I’m very much looking forward to – let the proper planning begin! We will be getting married next year so the countdown starts now….I can’t wait to get started!!

To kick start my wedding adventure, I’m going to be speaking on the panel at Brides: The Show with the wonderful Editor-in-Chief Jade Beer, which I cannot wait for. Myself and fellow influencers Josie Fear and Rosanna Falconer will be on the panel chatting all things wedding. If you’re a bride-to-be don’t miss out on this incredible event!

As a treat, I’m giving away 5 FREE PAIRS of tickets to Brides the Show, in case you haven’t yet got yourself a ticket and would like to attend! All you have to do is visit this link and use the code BLGR at checkout 🙂

MY AUTUMN TRAVEL PLANS

The first half of this year saw an insane amount of travel on my agenda. I was lucky enough to travel and photograph my dear friend and fellow blogger Haley on some incredible adventures to the Amalfi Coast (which I had never been to before and fell insanely in love with). We also headed to Portugal, Porto and Lisbon to be precise – both of which were wonderful and absolute must-dos if you haven’t yet visited the country. I hope to share more photos and tips to all of the places very soon! My travels also took me to the quaint hills of Provence where I got to spend a week with the fabulous owners of Mirabeau rosé. We learnt about all things pink wine and how exceptionally good it tastes overlooking the valley of Cotignac.

The second half of this year I’m extremely excited about. In October I will be heading off on another adventure with Haley, which I can’t wait to share about. We haven’t yet revealed where we will be headed to but it’s going to be fall-tastic!!!! I’m also hoping to get some Christmassy destinations in there as it is just my most favourite time of the year and I’m dying to go see some Christmas markets !!! Suggestions are welcome if you have been anywhere you absolutely loved around November/December time and think it’s worth me visiting!

Those are really all my updates for now. I have a busy few months ahead packed with my fashion photography, print shop, wedding planning and travelling, so it’s going to be a fun but full-on time. I am ready to step up a gear and get myself back rolling! Do you guys have any fun plans coming in the next months? Would love to hear all about them!!
