Last week marked a very special moment for my new venture launched earlier this year. On July 25th I held a launch party to officially begin my new chapter running Victoria’s Stories: an online travel photography print shop. For those of you who don’t know, I opened my travel photography print shop earlier this year, where you can now shop all of my favourite travel images for your home, office or whichever walls you might like to fill. They come in 5 sizes and individually or curated print sets of 3, designed to bring colour and wanderlust to your walls!
Planning a launch party wasn’t something I had wanted to do initially, mostly down to the fact that I was completely nervous about the whole thing. I’ve always been one of those people who had a fear of people never coming to my birthday party, leaving me alone to blow out the candles on my cake (thankfully that has never happened hehe, but it’s always been a little fear of mine and so I was really anxious about that being the case at my launch party!!) Thanks to my great friends, I was encouraged to go for it… and it was the best decision ever! My launch party was a chance to not only showcase my work but also celebrate with special people all of what I have achieved so far!

The event took place last Wednesday at Aubaine Marylebone. I had visited the Marylebone branch of Aubaine at a couple of events previously and fell in love with the light and bright space in their events room, which was an ideal location to exhibit my work. Natural light was extremely important to me to showcase my photography well and I knew with the wonderful space available at Aubaine I could transform just the way I wanted. Not only did we have a beautiful location to work with, but delightful canapés supplied from their fantastic events team. From Serrano ham & fig skewers to beef carpaccio & truffle on toast, the food was excellent and enjoyed by all!
The drinks were chilled, photos were hung and decorations were put up. My dear friend Nathan spent the day with me helping bring the Victoria’s Stories launch party to life. We’ve known each other for 3 years, working together and becoming great friends. He is so visually talented, I couldn’t have done it without him (I’m trying to get him to handle all the decorations for my wedding.. let’s see if I manage :P) We worked from midday till 5:59pm to get it all done on time. Typically things always take longer than you think, but with a final push we got it done!

Finally the event began! It was a night of colour and beautiful destinations. So many people wore the most amazing, colourful outfits, perfect to compliment the places in my photographs. From bold Burano to romantic Rome, from lovely London to pretty Paris, the exhibition of my prints took you on an adventure of stunning corners of the world. Seeing so many people I’ve worked with over the years, particularly some amazing Instagrammers and travel professionals that I look up to, attend the event was a real honour for me. If there is one thing I can take away from the past three years as a photographer and influencer, it is the amazing and inspiring people I have met through Instagram and my blog!
I felt a great deal of pride seeing all my work on the walls and watching people come in with their eyes wide admiring what we had put together. More and more friendly faces arrived and I felt so overwhelmed and happy with the presence of the kind people, both friends and colleagues, who took time out of their schedules to come and support me in my new venture. Seriously, big thanks goes out to each and every one of you! From the sweet words about my work, to the incredible support on social media, I was truly astounded by the positivity and generosity people showed by being there!

To go with the food, of course, there had to be a little bit of bubbly and a cocktail to boot. Since the Victoria’s Stories main brand colour is pink, we had the most amazing Cuvée Rosé champagne supplied by Laurent Perrier UK. The chilled champagne went down a treat on that warm summers evening and was fittingly instagrammable on the backdrop of my prints…. Let’s just say it didn’t take long to reach the bottom of those elegant rosé bottles! Along with bubbly we served guests Rose Lemonade & Bloom Gin kindly supplied by Fentiman’s. For those on soft drinks we had bottles of their Rose Lemonade to cool down with. Both the Fentiman’s drinks and Laurent Perrier Rosé can be purchased at Waitrose if you fancy grabbing yourself some for a summer’s BBQ!

To accompany my bright and colourful prints, I needed a sweet treat for people to munch on as they browsed my work…. and what better than pink cake and ice-cream? We had the sweetest treats kindly supplied by Peggy Porschen cakes, the prettiest cake shop in London. Their Floral Lemon Loaf cakes were a big hit and the perfect flowery complement to my floral prints. Finally, as the sun set and as we were about to melt into the floor, we had the cutest pick-me-up scoop of ice-cream from Jude’s. They were generous in supplying their Very Vanilla and Strawberries & Cream flavours, both of which were a massive hit with the crowd. Made locally in Hampshire, I can’t wait to carry on working with Jude’s, whose colourful ice-cream I’m a massive fan of!

As the event drew to a close, it was goodie bag time. I had help from my childhood friend, Isabella, who supported in putting together all of the bags. She was a gift bag machine, collecting all the items and making sure they were presented beautifully, ready for the guests to take home. Big thanks goes to her for all of her hard work and always being a supportive and encouraging friend throughout my entire photography career! We had some of the most amazing treats in the bag and had tried as much as possible to keep it “travel-inspired” to go along with the theme of the event. Below you can see a list of the brands included, and a huge thanks goes out to them for kindly supplying the treats for the event:
- Katie Loxton luggage tags – I’m a huge fan of this brand. They do the cutest bags and clutches with the sweetest messages. If you’re a bride-to-be and looking for a gift for your bridesmaids, I love their bridal party clutches!!
- Charbonnel et Walker truffles – If you love chocolate, don’t miss out on Charbonnel et Walker. Their salted caramel gourmet truffles are worth the purchase (bear in mind you will finish them in one go, they’re THAT good)!
- Papier notebooks – I had my first Papier notebook earlier this year and have taken it everywhere with me. Their pretty designs and gorgeous paper make for the perfect little notebook to throw into your bag!
- Live2Leave travel tag – Live2Leave is the travel app that you MUST get on your phone. You can upload your favourite places, travel itineraries and research the best hidden gems for your next adventure.
- Squirrel Sisters – These sisters began their very own snack bar brand in 2015 and are taking the healthy snack industry by storm. Pop one of these in your suitcase on your next trip away and you won’t feel guilty when you fancy a snack!
- SUITCASE travel magazine – Last but not least, SUITCASE magazine will inspire your next journey abroad for sure. From their wanderlust images to informative articles on the next global hot-spot, grab yourself a copy and read up!

Last but not least was of course, my sweet friend and photography partner-in-crime, Roberta Facchini. A wedding photographer by day, she brought her dreamy photography skills to the night by kindly capturing all of these fabulous images. We actually met through Instagram and instantly connected to becoming great friends, I can’t wait for more adventures together coming up in the next year! Grazie, Roby!
THE THANK YOU’S
