It’s been a busy but amazing couple of weeks over in my hood, September always starts the new academic calendar year with a fashion bang. I’ve been a little MIA on the blog as shooting got so hectic, but I’ve made a pact now from October that I’ll get back onto it straight away.
London Fashion Week is one of the highlights of the post-summer blues that I always look forward to. I love the buzz of people watching, running to capture shots of the most stylish and of course, catching up with and photographing my favourite blogistas. I had chance to attend a few interesting shows this year with lovely Maya who I was shooting again for the second season (Alice Temperley, Aspinal of London and O. I’m not big into rushing around to watch different catwalks as I love checking out the fashion on the street equally as much, but I have to admit the feeling of watching a show is something special.
This LFW I had a variety of different projects I photographed, from a street style piece for Farfetch, to a shoot for M&S and an event with Pandora, I was definitely kept on my toes. My favourite part of the week, along with my work, is bumping into people you haven’t seen for ages and meeting new people for the first time. Although I am not a fan of Brewer Street (dinghy Soho is NOT the background I want in my photos!) it is a great little corner of the city where we all congregate during the week. I met photographer David Nyanzi and the photographer behind @JoinComb which was lovely, always fab to put a face to a name since us snappers usually hide behind the lens!
Today I just wanted to share a few of my favourite snaps from the week. They are more grey and grungy than my usual work, but that’s London – it’s all about feeling edgy, cool and fashion-forward all at the same time… Hope you enjoy and can’t wait to share lots the results of lots more exciting projects very soon. As always, thanks for stopping by and supporting my work!
