Mindfullness, positivity, living what you love and loving what you live; these are some of the beautiful ideas I took away from my morning spent at kikki.K. This new Aussie-Swedish stationery brand which has just landed on the streets of London, has hit the nail on the aspirational head. If you’re in search of pretty stationery that makes your workspace both inspiring and elegant, look no further than kikki.K.
Discovering this brand was a bit like finding something new that you love and need in your life, but just never realised. I stepped into their Covent Garden store thinking, how have I not seen this brand before? Thankfully for us Londoners, kikki.K is here to stay! Hailing from Down Under, kikki. K was started by Kristina Karlsson, a Swede who moved to Aus with her partner. Struggling to get accustomed to her new life so far from home, she decided to start kikki. K, a stationery brand that brings together Swedish design and inspiring stationery pieces to create beautiful workspaces. It’s such a gorgeous story that I think really resonates in all of their collections and designs…
One part of the kikki.K story that I related to so well was her 3AM list. Kristina would always have a notepad by her bedside table to write down the ideas that came to mind in the middle of the night when she least expected. And how often does that happen to the best of us, just as you’re nodding off you think of something brilliant, the answer you were looking for, or the best idea you’ve had in days? kikki.K offers little reminders of things we can do to enjoy all 365 days of every year, as well as pick-me-ups and encouraging words to help us follow our dreams. She helps us mark and share every moment and believe in ourselves, or in her four golden words, she encourages us to Dream – Do – Enjoy – Share.
So if you’re about to embark on a new adventure, start a new career, or move to a new place, visit the kikki.K store in Covent Garden and choose your little inspiring sparkle to take along with you. After all, sometimes we all need a little reminder that if we believe we can do something, we are already half way there.
